About Us
It is F&M’s mission to promote inclusion, facilitate greater understanding of the world in which we live, and inspire students to contribute meaningfully to their communities. In that spirit, the Asian American Alliance provides opportunities for students interested in learning about the history, culture, and multifaceted experiences of the diverse community of Asian Americans in the context of our campus and of greater societies. This organization seeks to build and nurture a supportive learning environment that recognizes and celebrates the unique experiences of Asian American students. This group promotes inclusion by creating a safe space to discuss various current events and histories related to Asian American experiences. Through student-led discussions and campus events, the purpose of this organization is to provide a space for students to discuss and learn about social, political, and other issues that pervade the Asian American community on a campus, national, and international scale.
